The Julia E. Holloway Memorial Scholarship Fund for Disabled Students

Julia E. Holloway was one of the founding members of Insight Enterprises, Inc. and the Peninsula Center for Independent Living. She was an educator who devoted her life to the education of children and youth with disabilities. She was a teacher at the Virginia School for the Deaf, Blind, and Multi-Disabled in Hampton, VA. During her time there, she also served as a mentor to many of the students, providing tutoring, counseling, and encouragement, which resulted in several of them furthering their education through college.

Julia E. Holloway later taught at the Sharpe School for Disabled Children in Washington, D.C., where she again had a major impact on the development of children with multiple disabilities.

This scholarship has been established in her memory to continue her example of assisting and encouraging people with disabilities to expand their horizons and increase their opportunities for success through education.
